Vol. 8, Fur, Feathers, and Fun!
Fur, Feathers, and Fun…
Describe a Few of My Friends!
Dedication
We rely on the richness
of the animal kingdom for so many of the essential and necessary
components of our lives! They feed us, comfort and befriend
us, they make us laugh and cry and teach us so much about
ourselves. Their ways have fascinated humans and we have relied
on them since the beginning of time.
This album is dedicated
to the joys, the companionship and the many blessings of the
animals I've known. Butter, Rinney, Lady, Bebe, Simon, Phoebe,
Winston, Airess, Lovey, Buster, Ruby, Cowboy, Dancer, Mindy,
Babe, Darla, Mae West, Ihulani, Hawi, Poi, Piko, Ellie, and
Cyrus, name but a few of the critters who've enriched my life
in countless ways, often with just a snuggle, a look or a
quiet understanding! I thank them all from the bottom of my
heart and know that I've been blessed!
For all who listen, may
the songs and music here plant the seeds of deep appreciation,
respect and love for the "little brothers and sisters" who
share our fragile planet.
To all animals around
the world we send our love through song!

Vol. 7, We Are Family!
Celebrates Sisterhood All Over the World!
Girl Scouts
Juniors and up!
Songs honor our International Family
of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides.
Recorded at Camp Bothin by 45 girls
at Destinations, We Are Family in San Francisco, CA. in July
of 2005.
Most of the vocals you
hear were sung by the 45 girls at the Girl Scouts of the San
Francisco Bay Area We Are Family Destinations 2005. Together
for 8 days at Camp Bothin, we camped, sang, laughed, danced,
sang, ate, played, bonded, shared our hearts and tears and
then sang some more! It was an honor for David Kauahikaua,
my co-producer and I to be in the presence of such bodacious
talent and drive and to witness this most promising generation
of future stars!
Joyous, enthusiastic
and brimming with vocal talent this music is a gift from their
heart to yours! Enjoy!

Vol. 5, Camp Songs for Every Girl,
Everywhere!
Girl Scout Juniors and up!
This CD contains the essential playful
camp song collection, spanning the life of camping including
hiking, campfire sing·alongs and lights-out. It includes the
90th Anniversary Theme for Girl Scouts of the USA, Every
Girl, Everywhere.
Comments
Camping is as inherent
to Girl Scouting as singing and making new friends and we
all sing and make new friends at camp! It's the place where
new stories begin and memories are made, and a song is usually
there to carry those special moments. Girl Scouts® have the
perfect song for every activity at camp whether we're hiking,
singing grace, circling the campfire, cleaning the dishes,
and before and after lights out! This album, is devoted to
the loveable, entertaining pure fun of Girl Scout© camping
and those sweet moments! Whereas the songs presented here
have full musical background, all except the song "Every Girl,
Everywhere!" were chosen because they can also be sung with
little or no musical accompaniment at all!
As with all our albums,
we encourage you to use this song collection as a teaching
tool and learning resource. Our Girl Scout music is a precious
thread of inspiration and magic that entwines us together.
May these songs bring you many joyful campfire memories!

Vol.
4, Celebrate Together!
All
Girl Scouts!
What a joy it is to present
this 4th in our series "Girl Scouts'® Greatest Hits", Celebrate
Together!"
Songs for Ceremonies
for all levels of Girl Scouts, Vol. 4 is a valuable
collection of songs and musical accompaniment for all types
of Girl Scout Ceremonies, from Flag, Bridging, to Girl Scouts
Own and many others.
Ceremonies...from human
time untold, have marked important events and achievements
of individuals and communities. Since the inception of Guiding
and Girl Scouting, ceremonies have served as our common global
thread that weaves our noble past into an embracable future.
Ceremonies serve as our passageways and points of recognition
of our honorable traditions. It is our ceremonies that bind
us together as a family. Whether grand or small, formal and
solemn, or playful and joyful, each celebration puts us in
the light of seeing the finest and highest in ourselves and
in others.
The art of music has
been hailed as The Bridge, The Healer, and The Great Communicator.
When used in ceremonies, music is all of these things and
adds its rich and lasting dimension that carries the memory
of each significant occasion.
Though this album is
but a small sampling of the vast musical possibilities for
Guiding and Girl Scout ceremonies, it is our sincere wish
that these songs may inspire and infuse more meaning and creativity
in your Celebrations Together!

Vol. 3, Brownies, Growing Strong!
Brownie Girl Scouts®
Growing Strong... in the New Millennium!
BROWNIE GIRL SCOUTS®!
What a fun and curious age level to be entering the new millennium!
This new century poises our youngest Girl Scouts® on an amazing
threshold where they stand looking toward an abounding future.
As Girl Scouts®, we all hold the ideal that all dreams are
possible. Our youngest girls now have opportunities that were
unfathomable in the 20th century. They will see the cures
to many diseases, a powerful calling to world peace, and instant
communication to anyone, anywhere!
Events that once seemed
like marvels, are now daily occurrences! This is truly a time
in history when girls are GROWING STRONG! Our combined impact
in Girl Scouting is being felt and heard throughout the world!
Beyond the threshold, we see our path illuminated by the light
that emanates from our founder, Juliette Gordon Low. Her curiosity,
passion, and inventiveness will guide us, and our young girls,
into a world where women are full and equitable stakeholders!
We dedicate this new
album to all our young daughters and to their daughters. May
we all rise to meet all challenges we encounter with the skills,
abilities, and SPIRIT that we need to meet them! And to my
niece, Nicole Lynne Smith, a Brownie Girl Scout... may you
be empowered with the knowledge that your life holds endless
possibilities and choices...even while facing the daily challenge
of diabetes. Miracles abound!
In Sisterhood, let the
Spirit of Girl Scouting continue from this century, to the
next, and beyond! May the Growth of our Movement, and most
especially the growth of all girls continue... we all are
GROWING STRONG! Let our voices, young and old, carry this
message through our music! Let's joyfully Sing Out about it!
After all... We are the
GIRL SCOUTS®… WHERE GIRLS GROW STRONG!!

Vol. 2, The Wind
Beneath Our Wings!
Girl Scout
Cadettes!
They came, They sang, and They
Changed the World of Girl Scout Choral Music!!
Choral Music recorded
by Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors for
Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. This International
choral album is the result of a 1998 Hawaii Wider-Op called
"Music Shall Live!" and features the song "We
Change the World/Girl Scout Rap!!
From August 1-10, 1998,
Girl Scout Council of Hawaii and Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.
sponsored an International Wider Opportunity entitled "Music
Shall Live" in Honolulu, Hawaii. Out of the 1000 applicants,
121 Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts, representing 6 countries
and 33 states, joined together in the name of music to record
a history-making event for Girl Scouts and Guides worldwide.
Each energy-packed day
we spent together was infused with the excitement of this
unique opportunity of time and place combined with the thought
that our grandchildren may someday listen and be inspired
by what they hear. From the opening song to the last campfire
farewell it was clear to all of us that when shimmering voices
lift in song, all barriers dissolve. It was an understanding
that carried us through our ten days and one which we wish
to share with all who have experienced the soul of one of
the oldest human arts.

A World of Peace
Melinda Caroll and Legend Productions
happily present, "A World of Peace", an international collection
of songs and music that captures the nostalgia and warmth
of Holidays of long ago with an added touch of contemporary
yuletide spirit.
The songs are familiar to many as
traditional Girl Scout classics. Peaceful and comforting in
a lush acoustic setting of strings, recorder flutes, harp,
guitar, piano and percussion, the vocals take you on a journey
of old Celtic, English, African, German, Scottish, and French
melodies from another time and era.
A World of Peace is a
project conceived from the notion that Christmas is an international
festival of the heart.
Throughout the centuries,
people have celebrated Christmas with hearts filled with
hope and dreams held high. It is a time of miracles and
human kindness. Though the languages may be many, the feelings
are universal. At no other time of the year does music play
such an important role in expressing our joy, our love for
one another and renewal of our spirit. The music on this
album is our endeavor at capturing the warmth and nostalgia
of Christmases long past and the sentiment of the present
Holiday Season.
Many of the songs will
be quite familiar as Girl Scout favorites of yesteryear
and today. It is our sincere wish that this music will enhance
the Christmas magic around you, bringing joy and peace to
you and yours throughout the year.
This album was originally
released in 1991 as a joint fundraising project with Jenai
Wall and The Foodland Corporation, The Girl Scout Council
of Hawaii and Legend Productions. The proceeds were dedicated
at that time to the new Hawaii Girl Scout Headquarters.
In 1999, Legend Productions
and GSUSA realized the "Evergreen" quality of the songs
and music and wished to perpetuate those warm feelings around
this project...thus, "A World of Peace."
This album makes a great Stocking
Stuffer for Girl Scout friends and families, and many say
they listen to it year round!
